Jacob Maicol

Jacob Maicol takes you by surprise. His presence is reminiscent of a young James Dean. His eyes glimmer with a hint of romance. His personality is immediately engaging. As a young man, Jacob Maicol is already a music veteran. He began his journey into music at 11, teaming up with three other musicians and touring central Indiana. The proverbial music bug bit him hard and his appetite for lyrics, rhythm and beats became insatiable. After his initial year of touring with a band, he became part of the acoustic duo South Six 5. That pairing led Jacob on the road again covering songs all the way from Journey to Ed Sheeran, and others, for performances at college-based dance marathons benefitting the Children’s Miracle Network; and as part of the Teen Nation Tour – striking out against bullying. One could say Jacob Maicol is living and singing out the story of his life.

That story has afforded this pop/rock vocalist the opportunity to perform during weeklong festivals leading up to the Country Music Awards in Nashville, TN and audition for America’s Got Talent. Jacob has performed across the country, as well as across the globe, taking the stage at the 2018 Montreux Jazz Festival with his former band. Jacob calls that experience intimidating but “absolutely amazing.”

Jacob became interested in music as an outlet for creativity and energy as a kid. Because of a rare bone disease, playing sports was not an option for Jacob. In fact, he spent a lot of time in Indianapolis’ Riley Hospital with multiple bone fractures and breaks, and often-extended periods of therapy. Singing and playing the guitar proved to be the perfect accompaniment for him. Now, Jacob Maicol is grabbing the spotlight on his own. From coast to coast, Jacob is building up a ground swell of fans who love his voice. In fact, the South Florida resident counts artists ranging from John Mayer to Lewis Capaldi to even Eric Clapton as musical influences. Jacob continues to work on strengthening his voice and has eyes set on achieving one of his music goals – touring the world.
